New File Here
Windows provides a 'New' menu to let you create new, blank files, and ShellToys' New From Template tool offers a more flexible way of doing the same thing. However, both tools force you to choose from lists of existing file types.
New File Here provides a simple way to create a new file in any location, with any name and extension (and, optionally, to immediately open it for editing).
Right-click a folder (to create the new file inside it), or the background of a folder or the desktop and choose New File Here from the ShellToys menu. In the dialog that appears, simply type a name and extension for the new file and press Enter or click OK. A new, empty file with that name will be created in the chosen location.
If you want to open the new file for editing automatically in its associated application, press Ctrl+Enter (rather than Enter by itself) after typing the name, or hold the Ctrl key when clicking the OK button.
