Portfolio is a powerful folder/file holder with a range of uses. You can add folders and files to the Portfolio in any combination from anywhere on your system by right-clicking and choosing Add to Portfolio. The commands on the Portfolio submenu make it easy to copy or move all the chosen items to a particular folder (or copy them to several different folders simultaneously) in a single action without the frequent back-and-forth trips required to do this in Windows Explorer.

The following actions are available for the contents of the Portfolio:

• Move all the items to a chosen folder

• Copy all the items to a particular folder, or to several selected folders at once

• Create shortcuts to the items in a particular folder, or in several folders at once

• Display the contents in the Portfolio window to work with them

• Empty the Portfolio, clearing the list

For added power, the Portfolio tool also provides its own folder-like window. You can open this window at any time to view the current contents of the Portfolio and much more:

• Double-click any file or folder in the Portfolio to open it, or right-click it to view its context menu

• Drag an item out of the Portfolio window using the left mouse-button to drop it into a program or copy it to a folder

• Drag an item out of the window using the right mouse-button to choose from the standard 'drop' context menu (copy/move/create shortcut)

• Remove individual items from the Portfolio

• The Portfolio window works hand-in-hand with the Portfolio shell-extension: if you add an item to the Portfolio it will instantly appear in the window
